Shan Calc Bill POS is designed and engineered as an offline-first commercial point-of-sale utility, billing calculator, customer ledger (Khata / Udhar book), and inventory stock manager. We believe that your shop sales records, customer contacts, invoice figures, and commercial margins belong exclusively to you.
Unlike traditional cloud-mandatory POS systems, Shan Calc Bill POS functions 100% locally on your smartphone or tablet without requiring an active internet connection or mandatory account registration. Your daily sales entries, product inventory records, and receipts are stored securely within your device's private sandboxed database.
2. Data We Process (Local vs. Transmitted)
To provide full transparency, we delineate what information resides on your local device versus what is processed when network connectivity is enabled.
A. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The following business records are generated during your normal operation of the Application and remain strictly within local device storage:
- Sales & Expense Ledger: Transaction amounts, timestamps, calculation expressions, line-item breakdowns, tax amounts, and payment types (Cash, UPI, Card, Credit).
- Customer Khata (Credit Directory): Customer names, optional phone numbers, and running debit/credit balances.
- Product Catalog & Inventory: Product titles, item codes (SKUs), unit retail prices, purchase costs, tax slab percentages, current stock quantities, and minimum stock alert thresholds.
- Store Profile & Configuration: Business name, tax identification numbers (GSTIN / VAT ID / Sales Tax ID), invoice headers, receipt footers, and preferred theme preferences.

4. Third-Party Services & SDK Integrations

We use Google AdMob to display banner, rewarded, and interstitial advertisements to support free access to the Application. Google may use mobile advertising identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID or iOS IDFA) to serve ads based on your visits or app activity.

Used for delivery of operational push notifications. OneSignal processes push tokens, device model, and OS version.

PocketBase (Self-Hosted / Remote Cloud Sync):
An optional, merchant-controlled backend. If you configure remote synchronization, sales and stock records are transmitted directly to your designated PocketBase server over secure HTTPS/TLS. ShanApps does not operate as an intermediary processor of your private PocketBase instance.
5. Data Retention & Mandatory Account / Data Deletion Policy
Both the Apple App Store (Guideline 5.1.1(v)) and Google Play Developer Policies require a verifiable, accessible mechanism for users to request permanent deletion of their data.
How to Delete Your Data Permanently
Because Shan Calc Bill POS is primarily an offline-first app, you retain immediate, unilateral control over all your business records:
- In-App Clear: Navigate to Ledger → Clear History or Stock Management → Delete to permanently purge sales records and inventory catalogs directly on your device.
- Complete Device Purge: Clear app storage via Android Settings → Apps → Shan Calc Bill POS → Clear Storage (or Delete App on iOS). This irreversibly erases all local database records, customer contacts, and settings instantly.
- Remote Sync / Cloud Deletion: If you utilized cloud synchronization or registered your email for support/remote services, submit an expedited deletion request to our compliance team:
All verifiable cloud deletion requests are executed and permanently purged from server disks and backup mirrors within 30 calendar days.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)
Shan Calc Bill POS is a commercial enterprise and retail productivity tool designed strictly for merchants, business proprietors, cashiers, and independent professionals. The Application is not directed to, marketed towards, or intended for children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area).
We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or store personal information from children. If you believe that a minor has provided personal details through our support channels or within the app, please notify us at support@shanapps.dev and we will immediately take steps to expunge such data.
7. Security Measures & Encryption Standards
We implement commercial-grade physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect your business records against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure:
- Cryptographic Local Keyrings: Sensitive configuration values (such as printer MAC addresses and server authentication tokens) are stored in hardware-backed secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).
- Network Transport Security: Any network traffic initiated by the app (including advertisement loading and cloud synchronization) is enforced via HTTPS / TLS 1.2+ with modern cipher suites. Plaintext HTTP transmissions are strictly prohibited in release builds.
- No Hidden Telemetry: We do not inject covert third-party trackers, keyloggers, or background screen recording libraries.
8. International Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA Compliance)
Depending on your geographic location, you may have specific statutory rights under data protection laws such as the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA):

- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You may purge your records locally at any time or contact us to delete any remotely stored information.
- California "Do Not Sell My Personal Information": We do not sell, rent, or lease your commercial transactions, customer identities, or business data to data brokers or third parties for monetary consideration.
9. Policy Modifications & Version History
We reserve the right to revise or update this Privacy Policy to reflect modifications in our software architecture, new statutory regulations, or updated store policies.
